RATTY FAMILY MOVIE SERIES - CHILD MOVIE TICKET
RATTY FAMILY MOVIE SERIES - CHILD MOVIE TICKET
We are so excited to begin a new series together!
Ratty believes kids are never too young or old for families to read chapter books aloud together. Even for toddlers, a great story encourages new vocabulary, focus, comprehension, and an introduction to narrative. For more advanced readers, group reading can facilitate discussions about deeper themes and ideas, as well as quality family time. It’s our greatest wish to foster a love of storytelling and prompt conversations across all ages and interests. We hope this series creates a FUN and communal experience for the community.
Our first book is The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznik, and our first movie is Hugo directed by Martin Scorsese.
"Orphan, clock keeper, and thief, Hugo lives in the walls of a busy Paris train station, where his survival depends on secrets and anonymity. But when his world suddenly interlocks with an eccentric, bookish girl and a bitter old man who runs a toy booth in the station, Hugo's undercover life, and his most precious secret, are put in jeopardy."
"A cryptic drawing, a treasured notebook, a stolen key, a mechanical man, and a hidden message from Hugo's dead father form the backbone of this intricate, tender, and spellbinding mystery."
